How to use this site

Getting around and getting what you came for...

This site is divided into several main sections which you can navigate using the menu above.  The sections are Philip, Family, Blog and Gallery.  Some of the main sections have sub-sections and these are reachable using the menu above as well.  When you are within a sub-section you can start using the menu on the left hand side of the screen to find content within it.  Just follow your nose... it's pretty intuitive.

Purpose

What this site is all about

The purpose of this site is to maintain a dynamic web presence for myself and my family.  The key word here is dynamic.  The content on this site is constantly changing and evolving.  Some sections are more dynamic than others. For example, updates to my blog are a lot more frequent than changes to my curriculum vitae.  Nonetheless, none of the content on this site is static... like life, it is always changing!

Home is where my heart is...

To a large extent the real purpose behind this site is to share and explore the life of my family.  The family section of my site is a living chronicle of my family.  This is the most visual and artistic section of the site as it is filled with photographs and various digital experiments in expression.

Making a statement

One of my passions is photography. I keep a collection of some of my work at philiptoews.sumgmug.com with some my my favorite images in that collection here. Photography is a way to capture the world as we pass through it while leaving a minimal footprint.
