It's not actually completely about me after all

The more I learn about life the more I know that I know nothing!

It's actually about my family. Most of this site is devoted to my family, and for good purpose; they are the ones who give me my raison d'etre!

At any rate, I should mention at least a little about myself. I am a geek through and through. It's a term I wear like a badge of honor. I think it poetic that later in life I can be rewarded for seeking knowledge, exploring and experimenting. Those pursuits are not richly recognized in youth!

I've been a learner all my life and will continue as long as I am alive. Learning is the light on the path of life. I hope to share that feeling with our son Caden. As he grows up I want him to avoid the loss of childlike wonder for as long as possible. I've kept part of it to this day! That's the secret... on the outside I am a middle-aged, man... but on the inside I'm a 5 year old kid!
