Why do you have a web site for your family?

A family web site like this is like the caretaker for our memories. As our lives go ahead, change and grow this site will chronicle that cycle... every step of the way. As time goes by, more and more content will find its way here... a living repository of our family history.

We forget so much... live happens so fast! By recording, sharing and preserving I hope to capture a little of that elusive part of life that we forget in our headlong rush to the future. I put our digital memories here so I don't have to worry about them... they are out of my head and onto the site... for as the saying goes, out of sight out of mind. I would change that to out of site out of mine...

This site is also a digital sandbox where I will keep my web building skills sharp... a personal playground for the interesting code toys that come my way... so stay tuned, there will be lots of interesting stuff happening here!
